I'm guessing there aren't many Chinese living in this area. Not many items are especially for Chinese. Price is cheap, food is ok. But you won't find typical foods Chinese would love, seafood almost none.

Horr-i-ble! This place was some of the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I cannot even think of the words to properly describe the 'badness' of the food here. Think of the worst food you have ever had, then make it worse, then add to the fact that you then ge food poisoning on top of it. I would not recommend this to even my worst enemy.

I feel very ambivalent about this buffet. Let's go over the pros first. Pros: -$8.89 for a dinner buffet is a great price -Peanut butter chicken, chicken on a stick, black pepper chicken, flan, watermelon, chinese doughnuts, and dumplings were all great -Egg drop soup, almond cookies were mediocre -Service was good Cons: -Mac and cheese, fish, and most chickens and beefs besides the ones mentioned above were bad -Fried rice was beyond terrible -Left me feeling oily and bloated and with a pounding headache -Some of the plates were dirty -Bowls are discolored -Hardly any sushi selection... just rice wrapped around avocado and maybe a bit of cream cheese Was it worth it? I'm still not sure...

This place was terrible the last time I was there. I wouldn't recommend this place. Ive had much better chinese buffets. The food was warm not hot. The general tsao was really fatty. The outside of the back of the building is so disgusting looking. I wouldn't wanna go in seeing that.

This place opened about 20 years ago. It was great. But over the years it has changed owners a few times and today it is no longer great. I had lunch today and the food is good but they no longer have Won Ton soap on the buffet. The food seemed fresh. Service was good. Basically it is a typical Chinese buffet.

Food used to be delicious, kinda fell off maybe switched chef's. Tried recently food is good, I have my favorites as well as the next person, as well as not so favorites. Food is good for the price.

Fortune House is exactly what you'd expect from a $5 lunch and $8 dinner buffet. The food is rarely fresh, but there is a large variety. It's all American-ized versions of Chinese dishes, but if that's what you're in the mood for, then Fortune House can be very tasty. It's fast and cheap and as much as you can stomach.

You get what you pay for! The best Chinese buffet you could possibly get in a barely renovated old Ponderosa. The food is definitely Americanized strip mall Chinese at it's worst, but it has redeeming qualities. Lunch "buffet to go" is all you can stuff into a relatively large box for $5.95 and can easily feed up to three people. And it's buy one get one half off! It isn't great, but I don't always need great. Sometimes I just need fast, easy, and cheap. Plus, my Grandma loves it. Judging by the typical patrons, so do a lot of other grandmas.

I wish I could say that this buffet was different from all the other Chinese buffets. It's not. It's not dirty, but it's not clean either. The food is just o.k. It would have been forgotten much sooner, if it wasn't for the occasional burp. 80's decor, that is well worn. I need to scope these places out first. Or just stop going to cheap Chinese all together.

Why this place is still open boggles my mind. I would much rather go to the grocery store to buy some premade frozen "chinese food" than eat this garbage. Check out Gourmet House or China One in Michigan City if you want Chinese food.
